The Gingerbread People
Our fantastic new participatory performance for children in Manchester!
Can’t run fast enough? Then bake yourself some wheels!
Still can’t escape? How about a gingerbread balloon?
When your world is made of gingerbread only your dreams limit you…
This is a story of friendship, dreaming big, surprising yourself & not giving up!
With live music, comedy, puppetry and our innovative participation, this project is supported using public funding by Arts Council England ACE & part of Manchester Metropolitan University’s Manchester Children’s Book Festival MCBF.
The Gingerbread People is brought to you by our specialist creative team who (as well as ensuring a top-quality performance) have extensive experience of working with pupils with SLCN, EAL & anxiety disorders. Performed by Emily Capstick, Monica Sagar & Matt Wardle.
During November and December 2019, performances in schools will be tailored for KS1, EYFS, children with ASC, PMLD and hearing impairments. A wide range of activities and supporting materials for classroom fun and learning will be available on booking your performances.
